Intense and articulate, Jonathan Morgan makes no bones about the genesis of his adult film career: He was an avid fan who wanted in. His strong determination got him in the door, but once there, it was his talent and acting ability that assured him of a career. His first projects for Wicked Pictures were an X-rated comedy series. One of these features, Haunted Nights, earned him the AVN Award for Best Actor in a non-sex role and Best Screenplay. Jonathan first turned his ambitions behind the camera in 1993, directing the gonzo series Reel Sex World.

In 1997 Jonathan directed Crazed, his first full-length feature for Wicked Pictures. This critically acclaimed, AVN Editor’s Choice video starred Wicked Girl Serenity, and won Jonathan honors for Best Screenplay at the 1998 AVN Awards. He went on to direct another AVN Editor’s Choice video for Wicked, Indigo Delta, also starring Serenity. Her co-star, Tom Byron, would later win the AVN Best Actor award for his performance.

In 1998 Jonathan signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures, and his considerable skills as an actor, director and editor finally got some well-deserved recognition and earned the budding auteur a full time home in Wicked Pictures’ headquarters. His hilarious porn comedy Double Feature became the most acclaimed comedy in AVN history, winning ten AVN Awards, including Best Director, Best Comedy, and Best Actress (Serenity). While revered for his comedic instincts, videos like Crazed, Indigo Delta, and Pornogothic have also proven him to be a master of the erotic thriller.

His other comedies have included Bride Of A Double Feature, Inside Porn, Porn-O-Matic 2000, and M Caught In The Act. The latter title again won Morgan the coveted Best Comedy Award, and allowed Serenity to again walk home with Best Actress honors – making her the first actress in adult film industry to do so two years in a row.

Forging deeper into the new millennium, Jonathan continues to hone his craft. His thriller The Gate was nominated for three 2002 AVN Awards, including Best Supporting Actress – Video. The Fall of 2002 saw Morgan return to comedy with the release of the acclaimed Hercules, which would also receive a 2003 AVN Nomination for Best Sex Comedy. And Morgan’s dramatic thriller Turning Point would emerge as one of the year’s most acclaimed releases, receiving AVN nominations for Best Video Feature, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor & Actress. His current success is the AVN Editor’s Choice Not A Romance.

A force to be reckoned with in the world of erotica, Jonathan Morgan continues to win awards while expanding the boundaries of the adult video medium.
