Originally from the south, Erica Boyer was born into a puritanical environment where even kissing and dancing were prohibited. Prior to entering the world of adult entertainment, she worked for a short time as a nurse, but decided to relocate to the San Francisco area. It was there that Erica began her career as a stripper, which would eventually put her on the path to porn stardom. After appearing in a little-seen 1974 movie titled "Cowgirls In Chains," Erica waited five more years before fully taking the plunge. During her time in the business, she appeared in such films as "Aunt Peg's Fulfillment," "Hard To Handle," "Flesh Fire," "Cagney and Stacey," and "Nothing To Hide." Bisexual onscreen and off, she was perhaps best known for her girl-on-girl scenes. In addition to performing, Erica also has writing credits on VCA's "The New Barbarians" 1 & 2. She eventually earned the title of "The Ultimate Goddess of Erotica," which was believed to have been given to her by Nina Hartley. Erica retired from the industry in 1994 and came out of retirement for one last scene (with Marilyn Chambers, whom she deeply admired) in "Dark Chambers." Even after she was no longer performing, this sexy and beautiful blonde's erotic offerings continued to be popular. She appeared in over 300 films between 1974 and 2000.

Sadly, Erica Boyer's life was cut short at age 53. On New Year's Eve in 2009, she died in a motor vehicle crash in Panama City, Florida, where she had been living since 1994. The Panama City News-Herald reported that Amanda Jensen (Erica's real name) was traveling south on Front Beach Road near Second Street, and was struck by an off-duty Florida Highway Patrol officer while attempting to cross Front Beach Road. She was killed instantly. Erica Boyer is survived by one son and will be missed.
